» "Hurricane Haiku" reviewed by Beach Sloth

Beach Sloth wrote a wonderful and amusing review/summary of my Hurricane Haiku chapbook. It is factually sound in every way except for the part about me being a 20-something who doesn’t own a bed. I am 31 and own a bed.

I think James Mercer
really likes to sing about

his face in the mirror and
noticed dark circles

THUMBS UP

The elevator
operator exited
elated “thumbs up”

TAVERN MUSIC, BOAT TRAINS

What could he have had
in mind - cryptic words strung together
as if in a dream

RESULT - HAPPINESS

Take the morning sun
Add one carefree afternoon
Stir with zest and drink

"THESE MY BETTERS"

Drunk, he handed me
several sheets of paper
He hiccuped and said:
